If you are returning to exercise or yoga after some time away, carrying an injury, or don’t feel as confident as you would like when moving your body, then the Restorative Hatha, Nurturing Flow, Yin Yoga, or Hatha classes would be a great place to start.

If you’re feeling confident when moving your body, then the Alignment Based Vinyasa, Strength and Flexibility Flow, Yin Yang, Hatha, and Hot Yoga classes may be a perfect fit. These all have options to take poses further or to modify and soften as needed.

If you’re looking for that extra challenge, then the Power Yoga class might be just the ticket.

And if you’re in need of a deeper rest and restore then the Restorative Hatha, Nurturing Flow, and Yin Yoga classes would fit the bill.

Alignment Based Vinyasa Flow

We will tap into a moving meditation with a flowing approach to the sequence, but with a focus on alignment with longer holds to explore postures.

Class will start by warming up the body with some simple mobility and stretches, before building a flow based on a theme or peak pose, before finishing with some slower stretches to cool down ready for a conscious rest in Shavasana.

Yin Yang

We start with the Yang element, tapping into a moving meditation with a flowing approach to the sequence, building heat, strength and flexibility. Then we will tap into our Yin side predominately be working from the floor, with long supported holds and using the breath to release.

Class are based on a theme or peak pose, and finish with a conscious rest in Shavasana.

Hatha

We will focus on simplicity and sinking into juicy holds. A strong focus on alignment and modifications to find what works well in your body in the present moment.

Class will start by warming up the body with some simple mobility and stretches, before a sequence focused on a theme or body part, then finishing with a conscious rest in Shavasana.

Strength and Flexibility Flow

This is a take on the classic Alignment Based Vinyasa classes, with added creativity to build strength and flexibility. We will tap into a moving meditation with a flowing approach to the sequence, with a focus on alignment with longer holds to explore postures, and that added dose of creativity and exploration.

Class will start by warming up the body with some simple mobility and stretches and Pranayama breath work, before a playful sequence focused on a theme or body part, then finishing with a conscious rest in Shavasana.

Power Flow

We will focus on building strength in a more targeted way, bringing in elements of practices such as Pilates, Primal Movement, and even some classic HIIT movements to our Yoga practice. There will be a strong focus on alignment, and building heat in the body to develop strength.

Class will start by warming up the body with some simple mobility and stretches before a playful sequence focused on a theme or body part, then finishing with a conscious rest in Shavasana.

You don’t need to be a pro to join these classes, just come ready to challenge yourself!

Restorative Hatha

We will focus on alignment and modifications to find what works well in your body in the present moment with the aim to build mobility, flexibility and strength to support the joints.

Class will involve a series of mobility and flexibility focused movements. As we explore ranges of movement we will bring in targeted strength building, before finishing with a conscious rest in Shavasana.

This is a slower paced classed aimed at those coming back to exercise or yoga after an injury or time away, or those whose bodies or minds are seeking repair, rest and relaxation.

Nurturing Flow

We will tap into a moving meditation with a flowing approach to the sequence, but with a focus on mobility, flexibility and muscle activation and release. This is a slower paced class, and also incorporates elements of Yin and Restorative Hatha and finishes with a conscious rest in Shavasana.

This class compliments the more Yang forms of Yoga, and is great for those coming back to exercise or yoga after an injury or time away, or those whose bodies or minds are seeking repair, rest and relaxation.

Hot Yoga

The class will either follow a Hatha, Vinyasa Flow, or Alignment Based Vinyasa Flow format. But we will be practicing in a room heated to a peak of 36-38 degrees, with added humidity and air flow.

This class is only offered at certain locations, see Class Schedule below.

Yin Yoga

We will tap into our Yin side, getting into the deeper tissues of our ligaments, tendons, joints, and fascial networks. We will predominately be working from the floor, with long supported holds and using the breath to release. This is a perfect practice to balance out our active Yang lifestyles and Yang forms of Yoga.

Yin classes are 1 hour and 15 minutes to allow extra time for a longer conscious rest in Shavasana with a guided meditation.
