Yoga and Intention Setting Afternoon

What to expect…..

This unique event weaves together Yoga and Coaching practices, as through Yoga we can take ourselves into a place where not only our conscious brains can work better, but we can tap into our subconscious, and listen to what our bodies and intuition are telling us. From there we can set much more aligned and powerful intentions.

These events run quarterly, because science has shown that 3 months is the most we typically work on a goal, resolution, or intention before it becomes a habit, or it falls away. Some of those who attend have been before and use this Afternoon as a way to reset for the coming 3 months, and others are completely new to Intention Setting (or new to powerful Intention Setting!). 


Danni brings her 23 years of devotion to her Yoga practice, and 12 years of working with a Coach, along with 3 years experience as a Yoga Teacher and 2 years experience as a Certified Professional Coach. 

But it’s not about the number of years, it’s about how she’s spent those years. “I’m curious, I keep asking questions and I keep learning. I experiment, I try different approaches and practices. I believe in doing the Work. It’s embedded into every part of my life”. 

And a big part of the Work, is setting Intentions; aligned powerful Intentions, with tangible actions so that we can get unstuck and keep moving forward.

This Yoga and Intention Setting Afternoon gives you the space to assess where you are, and to set Intentions and actions for the next 3 months. 

We start with an Alignment Based Vinyasa practice which is all about getting out of our thinking minds, and instead tuning into the sensations in the body as we move. We’ll be using breath and movement to activate our parasympathetic nervous system, to bring oxygen to our brains, and by tuning into our bodies we can more easily tap into what our body and intuition are telling us. When we’re in our parasympathetic nervous state our brains literally function on all cylinders.

Danni then leads you through an exercise to help you see where you want to make changes, based on what’s important to you. She takes you through the approach to Intention Setting that she uses, and that is built on Neuroscience principles. You get time to write out your own Intention and actions for one key area you want to make changes in. Before Danni leads you through a Visualisation so your brain can see and feel the changes you’re seeking; increasing your ability to stick to your Intentions.

And we wrap the afternoon up with a Yin Yoga practice. Did you know our brains use 25-30% of the food we eat as fuel! And the deep thinking we do as we set our Intentions, is tiring for our brains. So the Yin Yoga practice is designed with longer holds in supported postures to enable us to soften, to let go of the thinking mind, and just breathe and rest.

  • Handouts so that you have all the guidance you need to carry on finalising your Intention Setting in the days after the session.

Please bring your yoga mat (if you need to borrow one, please notify us in advance). We’ll be using the props at Yard Yoga, but you may want to bring your own cushion.

A full itinerary will be provided after your Booking has been received.

Where we have had to cancel an event we will then offer to reschedule your booking onto a future event, or if that’s not possible we will provide a full refund.

The classes will be aimed at all abilities. Modifications will be offered so the classes will suit beginners to seasoned yogi’s.

We’ll be located in Yard Yoga, in the heart of Forest Row.
